Clovelly is a small unique village in North Devon. It is a beautiful and quirky little place full of history. It is famous for its steep cobbled street which is totally car free and the residents have to use sledges and donkeys to transport their shopping etc along the cobbles.

There were lots of quirky little touches and visual delights to enjoy on our amble down the hill.

A sweet little door wreath on one of the cottage doors.

A bug hotel!

A local resident enjoying the sun.

We were incredibly lucky again with the weather and enjoyed a beautiful sunny spring day and a few drinks down in the little harbour.

I loved the fact that we got there at low tide and were able to make the most of the beach and climbing over the enormous rocks further along the beach.

I must say that I have never had to pay to enter a village before and it did add a certain cost to our coffees, however, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It is somewhere that I have wanted to visit for a while now. What do you think? Have you been to Clovelly and how do you think that you would manage living in a hilly car free place?!
