Freehand Machine Embroidery Workshop 18th January 2020 Harbour House Centre for Arts and Yoga, Kingsbridge 10am-4pm

Come and spend an enjoyable day playing with colourful fabrics, threads and sewing machines! "Many of my students just like to get carried away 'playing' with fabrics and experimenting rather than feeling under pressure to come up with a finished 'thing' to take home!" You are under no pressure at all to complete an item during our day workshops however if you would like to complete a cushion or some such item, you are more than welcome to. Please make sure that you have a 'plate cover' or that you can lower the feed dogs on your machine. Annie likes to teach you on your own machines so that you are familiar with the settings and can then recreate these when you are home after the course. Annie has been working with freemotion, or freehand machine embroidery for 20 years and will happily teach you lots of top tips and tricks on the day. Please bring your machine, some ideas or inspiration as a starting point along with any bits and pieces you feel you may want to incorporate in your work. Annie will provide lots of fabrics and items for use on the day and haberdashery items will also be available to purchase at the end of the day. Complimentary teas and coffee will be provided as well as the essential chocolate biscuit! This workshop would make an ideal gift for a creative friend. Why not book yourself and a friend in for a day out? We can provide a downloadable gift voucher if you would like gift a workshop, or even give the gift for Christmas!
